What I do

From the first sketch to a product in production, I handle the whole cycle — and stay close after launch.

Custom software

Management systems, process automation and internal tools built for your operation — for when off-the-shelf software doesn't cut it. I've replaced manual controls with systems that gave teams their hours back.

Best for: operations still running on spreadsheets and manual controls.

Web systems & platforms

From admin dashboards to full SaaS platforms: browser-based systems built to grow with your business. Real-world experience with tracking platforms, sales-force tools and ERPs.

Best for: companies that need a dashboard, portal or SaaS product.

Mobile apps

Android and iOS apps from concept to release — including complex cases like biometric facial recognition and B2B apps used by field teams of major brands.

Best for: businesses that need to be in their customers' or field teams' pockets.

Making your systems talk to each other

I connect systems that don't share information today — ERP, e-commerce, spreadsheets, apps — eliminating re-typing, rework and processes that stall. The quality bar comes from Mercado Libre, where connected systems move real money.

Best for: companies where the same information gets typed in more than once.

Architecture & technical consulting

Support for companies and teams: architecture design, project reviews, technology decisions and unblocking technical problems — with the hands-on experience of someone who has solved these problems in large-scale systems.

Best for: teams that need senior judgment to decide with confidence.

Track record

More than two decades solving real problems with software — from startups to mission-critical operations.

  3. 2002 — 2008

Early years · Systems & field work

ERPs from scratch, public-transport electronic ticketing, GPS hardware integration and field support in large call centers — the technical foundation of someone who learned by solving real problems.

How I work

A simple, transparent process — no layers between the person who understands the problem and the person writing the code.

  1. 1

    Understand

Before talking technology, I understand your problem, your business and what success means to you.

  2. 2

    Propose

You get a clear proposal: scope, timeline and cost — no jargon and no surprises halfway through.

  3. 3

    Build

Development with frequent deliveries: you watch the product take shape and validate every step.

  4. 4

    Support

After launch I stay close: maintenance, improvements and evolution as the product grows.

Ways to work together

Fixed-scope project

Scope, timeline and price defined before we start. Ideal for building a product or system from scratch.

Monthly retainer

Dedicated hours per month for maintenance, improvements and new features on an existing system.

One-off consulting

Architecture, project review or technical unblocking — short engagement, objective outcome.

Problems I've already solved

Three real situations from my career — the kind of problem I know how to get out of your way.

Field teams

A sales force that works on the street

White-label app customized and rolled out for field teams at TIM, Unilever, Vigor and Premier Pet — working every day, in the sun, on unstable connections.

Mission critical

Pricing that moves money across countries

Profitability backend at Mercado Libre, with observability that helped prevent direct financial-loss incidents.

Security

Facial biometrics in financial workflows

Facial recognition and liveness detection integrated with government validation (SERPRO) and DocuSign, in apps for banks and pension funds.

About me

I'm a software engineer with over 20 years in the field and the founder of AFS IT Services. I've worked in highly demanding environments — from Mercado Libre's pricing backend to BNP Paribas' regulatory systems — and also on the other side of the counter: I co-founded and ran a software house for eight years, handling proposals, delivery and support.

That combination defines how I work today: serious engineering — automated testing, monitoring and code other people can maintain — with a business-owner mindset. The person who understands your problem is the same person designing the solution and writing the code — direct communication and end-to-end ownership.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of project do you take on?

Mobile apps, web systems, custom software, system integrations and architecture consulting. I work both with companies building a product from scratch and with teams that need senior technical reinforcement on an existing system.

How does pricing work?

We start with a no-commitment conversation so I can understand the problem. You then receive a proposal with defined scope, timeline and cost — in one of three formats: fixed-scope project, monthly retainer or one-off consulting. Typical projects range from a few weeks (a focused automation) to a few months (a complete product), and for larger projects I work in staged deliveries to reduce risk on both sides.

Do you work with companies outside Brazil?

Yes. I work fully remotely in Portuguese and English, with experience in distributed teams and international projects.

What happens after delivery — is the project abandoned?

No. I offer ongoing maintenance and evolution — most of my projects stay with me after launch. Good software is software that keeps working and growing with the business.

Which technologies do you work with?

Technology choice comes after the problem, not before. I have depth in backend (Java/Spring Boot, PHP, .NET), mobile (Android/Kotlin), web and relational databases — and I use whatever fits your case, including AI-powered solutions.

Shall we talk about your project?

Tell me what you need — I reply within one business day.
